Luca Truffarelli & Federico Ortica

The ‘Here and Through’ exhibition includes the actual ‘Here and Through installation, as well as a series of photographs by Luca Truffarelli.
‘Here and Through’ is a body of work by Luca Truffarelli developed for Embodied, a GPO Witness History Public Art Commission. Presented alongside a series of site specific dance performances at the GPO in April and again at Project Arts Centre in May 2016 as part of Dublin Dance Festival. Truffarelli was commissioned to document the dance performances and to make a visual response to the dance works which were devised.

“Here and through” is a installation and short video by Luca Truffarelli in which he invites the audience to experience the present as a personal journey.  The floor covered in cardboard will lead the travellers into a deep, uncomfortable understanding of a present condition, made of past and filled with future. The audience will have to actively interact with the installation to discover its allusions. The journey will culminate with the projector of a short video representing the endless voyage of a soul through past, present and future.
