Mentored by Hélène Cathala
Mon 9 - Tue 10 October, all day
Tipperary Excel Arts Centre
With a group of selected dance artists
TDP’LAB is a comprehensive package providing a professional research and development environment for dancers.
The laboratory formula can vary from year to year, and usually includes master-classes, workshops, group research and creation, reflection and discussion times, with an emphasis on the input that personal initiative brings into group choreography. TDP’LAB impulses creativity, group research, exchange of skills, and an international flow of experience, contacts and information between dance artists.
TDP’17 LAB | While past editions of the TDP’LAB were more focused on performance skills, the 2017 edition of the Laboratory is dedicated to a group of selected dance artists who regularly create their own choreographic work, and focuses on the theme ‘revealing, empowering and sharing the emotional sphere as a creative space.’
TDP’17 LAB is funded by the Irish Arts Council under the Dance Artist in Residency awards scheme.
